What is the best way for fast shopping? There is no better way than window shopping. You have with a quick look an idea what the shop offers and what products you can buy in every particular shop.

You don’t have to waste your time walking through the whole shop to see the variety of products they manage and sell. You get a pretty good idea through window shopping. You can check a few shops within a short time and than you can decide what suits you best.

Why do I mention window shopping? There is something similar in the internet. That is called surfing or traffic exchange. It is a fast way to get an overview about different promotions and offers and of course new and old businesses. You don’t have to search through search engines on the whole net. You can put all your effort in your business but as long as you are hided from the general public you won’t get any results in your business. But always keep in mind when thinking of free advertising – why do exist paid advertising? – If free advertising is successful why should someone spend money for advertising purpose? In the online world the reason is that they think the internet is different than the off line business world.
They have been told the internet is just pushing and clicking buttons and you are in business – to make money. But do you really think that doing business is that easy? Okay, it is easy that you don’t have to leave your home. You don’t have to struggle with daily jungle-traffic in your city. You can have your own working hours. You even can do it after your normal working hours as a part time business.

They have been told over and over again until they got tired that they only need to join this program - or sign up for that program – or send in some money - and they make tons of money in return just like magic. And they don’t have to work because someone else is doing all the work for you – don’t believe that nonsense.

They have been told they can earn more interest than any world’s professional and highly skilled fund manager.

They have been told that they get money from their up line when signing up and the people in the up line have been told the same and so on and on. And the only one who gets the money is the owner.

Let me ask you a question

Why do so many people believe in all that promises?

Is it because of the economic situation?
Is it because of the overwhelming ads they see everyday?
Is it because so many people believe of some magic things to happen because of the internet?
Or is it because they really don’t understand what the internet can do and can’t do.

Have you ever asked yourself what is the internet?

The internet is nothing more than an interconnected network of highly specialized computers named “servers”. Those servers are made to communicate with all the computers of the world through the telephone line connection, or satellite, or broadband through your cable-TV-connection, or whatever internet connection you have paid for.

You can think of a computer like a telephone when you dial up a neighbor or a person somewhere in the country or your brother or sister in Australia or where ever she is located but instead of dialing a number you click a name in a search engine like Goggle, or a link in your browser window and the so called “server” connects you to whatever your request is. It is almost as dialing a number but instead of dialing you type in words or letters or phrases.

In order that you can read something, or listen to something, or watching to something you have to put it on your server you are connected to or someone has to put it on his server he is connected to and a second or third person has to request it or search for. The only difference between the internet and a telephone is that you don’t have to answer; all that stuff is done for you, by your “server” with other words it is more automated.

Through the advanced technology everything can be converted into digital signal or file and this file you can upload onto a server. Your computer as an intelligent communicating wizard that connects with all servers over the globe within seconds… give you now some kind of idea what he can and what he cannot.

Yes, it is true that the internet is by far the most powerful tool ever invented by humans for communication, for memorizing, processing, and delivering information. And we do not overstate when we say that the internet is capable of doing some amazing good things.

But the internet or your computer cannot do everything it only can do what you tell him to do, cause it is in some way a machine and not a human. You can think the machine not. A machine is only capable of doing things what you instruct her to do.

So, now we come to the next point what the internet can’t do:

The internet can not create money for you out of nothing.
The internet cannot cause money to flow into your bank account…
Only if you do something to earn that money.

Nobody sends you money, unless you give him a reason to do so. When you sell him some info, or some product, or some services, or you show him something he likes to know.
If you are going to make money on the internet, the important thing you need to do is give lots of people good reasons to send their money to you.

So if you’re going to make money on the Internet, the first thing you need to do is give a lot of people a very good reason to send their money to you.

What could be a possible reason?

In my opinion there are only two ways to get people to voluntarily send you their money.

You can trick them – fool them by telling them something that is not true.
Or you can provide people with something of value they are looking for and they are willing to pay for to get that information.

If your choice is to fool people or to cheat them, than it is better not to watch that video and not to click on the link below, because you are only wasting your time. I do not have something to say that can help you. As a business owner you should always tell the truth about what you are selling or offering to people.

As a business owner you have to ask yourself what is the purpose of doing a business. The main purpose of a business is making profit. Everyone even a salary worker needs to make money to live, to pay his bills, to go on vacation and to have something to spend for some special needs he might have. Therefore a salary receiver is working for.

But when starting an own business you have to have some basic thoughts about what do you want, about what is your goal in business and furthermore in your life. You need a plan for your business, you need a strategy how you want to start your business and what do you expect from you business besides making profit. Without profit you cannot survive with your business. In other words you need to change your mindset too. You have to think differently than a salary worker. A salary worker expects to get paid for what he is doing and he is not involved on how a company gets the money to pay for his work.

But you as a business owner have to take care of how to get your money to pay for the bills of your business and all the expenses that are involved with your business. With other words you have to receive more than what you would call your own salary (if you like to think in terms of salary). But forget about the term ’salary’.

Unfortunately there is a lot of hype in the online world. There are so many advertisers who offer you like a business model that doesn’t exist. The kind of business model they offer doesn’t exist in the off line world neither in the online world. Okay, you can have a business ready to make money for you. But does that mean that the business make money without doing anything? Just reflect a bit and you’ll notice that no business in the whole world works all by itself.

You have to work, you don’t have to work as much as you work in the off line world…but you have to work. You know I always hear people saying, “Oh, I like to be in your shoes to make money, have no boss, have a different working schedule” (you can work when you want)…but do they really realize that you have to work and sometimes work harder as a salary worker? I guess not. Nobody realizes or takes in account that you also have after your physical work still work to do in your office…the all hated paperwork.

In case you hate it…the paperwork…you can outsource it but this is another expense you have to cover with your business, isn’t it? That’s why an online business in my opinion is a bit– let me use the word ’softer’ I mean you don’t really work physically; you work more with your brain. The better you work with your brain the more success you will achieve with your business.

What does mean you work more with your brain you might ask?

Working more with your brain means, you have to advertise, to promote, to get noticed in the online world that you have a business. And here is the work that nobody is talking about when offering a business. You see the offer and you think like you get a ready-money-making business that sucks money out of the internet and gets it in your bank account. Here is the first fake - the internet doesn’t have money, you cannot suck money out of the internet. Nothing is going on its own. The internet is not like magic and is certainly not ‘Alice’s Wonderland’.

The internet is a business like any business in the whole wide world. You have no customer, you have no business…it is that simple.

Another big Fake…the business is in the list. That sounds pretty good, but what if you have a list full of no-buyers? What does it mean to you if you have thousands of customers but nobody buys? You have customer that want to know how to market and sell, and you offer them a product on how to get slim or how to lose weight? Does that make any sense to you? I don’t think so.

So, how do you solve that problem…you have to target your market or you have to look for a certain niche for your product. You have to offer your product to a market that is looking for solving a problem…their obesity and not how to market or how to sell. Do you get that clear? And I think this is why 95% of people fail with their online business. First of all they don’t have a market and second they might have a product that nobody is looking for.

Through all the Traffic exchanges and safelists it is easy to get people. But this is not the point; the important thing is to maintain the people or customers within your list. You know that a large number of your opt-ins do not buy at the first click…at least not most of the visitors to your site. You need to entertain them and to convince them to buy from you - you have to gain their trust. And this is what is all about a business. If you are a trusted, honest business owner you will have buyers and most of the time it doesn’t matter if your service or product is at a higher price than your competitor’s.

Your customer needs the security that you will help him to solve his problem. If he is looking for something to make money online he needs to be sure that you will give him some good solutions and advice how to do it. You as a business owner are a problem-solver therefore you have started a business, you like to solve problems or you like to help people. Just look at the quote from Zig Ziglar, ” We can have anything we want in life if we’re willing to help enough other people get what they want.”

Read this quote many times until you have it recorded in your brain. If you follow this advice than you are ready or than you have the right mindset for starting your own business. There is another saying, “the more people you help to solve their problem, the wealthier you get.”

A salary worker for example doesn’t care about a problem he is only waiting to get paid for his labor, but you are getting paid for solving a problem. If you cannot solve a problem you won’t make enough money to pay your expenses.

How can you as a newcomer know what hype is or fake? There is only a sure way to get onto a list and see what the person or business owner is offering you. If you are convinced after a few messages that it makes sense to you what the owner is telling you, and the offer is or will solve your problem…than you can buy, if not you have to look up for someone else.

The other day I was surfing on the net and I have found so many sites they offer for sell or that doesn’t exist anymore and why? Because they just wanted to make a few easy bucks or they didn’t have a system that really works and helps people on the long run. You know many people get attract to make money fast and easy but nobody is trying to build a real business that survives tsunamis, hurricanes and earthquakes.

When starting a business it is the same as building a house. You need a strong foundation and a strong structure that it won’t fall apart with the slightest storm you want your house build for long time to go. Because a house is like a business without strong foundation or a long time strategy in your business it will fall apart easily.

So, why I’m telling you this and get you bored. It is easy; I like to help you to build a strong business that will not fall apart like a weak boat with the first storm or heavy sea. You should look for a strong business that will drive you to the goal (harbor) you have aimed for to reach.

Think about it…not always does it matter to have the newest and expensive product that your subscribers don’t know how to use. It is of more value to your subscribers if you teach them how to use a product or a system that they can start. And most importantly they will get something in return for their effort.

If you have almost everything laid out for them the easy way they will thank you for that. They have to trust you that what you offer is a real business they can manage and that they will have a long time business that will bring more and more value over time.

As I mentioned before it doesn’t matter if you have an expensive product or a cheap product, what matters is that you have a system that will last and that will make you money in the long term.

A good solid business model is something with continuity, that means you sell something one time and get paid over and over again.

A business can sometimes result in more profit selling a low-priced item than a high-priced item because of the continuity of sales.

If you for example earn $50 bucks a day your time will cost a certain percentage of that money. Some guys may earn hundreds or thousands of dollars a day, the cost per hour will accordingly to their income increase.

Advertising - What is advertising?

Advertising we can say is some kind of communication between someone who has something to offer and someone who likes to buy something or needs something. Mostly it is a message that includes the name of the product or the service someone offers and the benefit these products have to the consumer. Or in other words advertising persuades the customer to buy a particular product or service.

Advertising has developed more and more through the mass production in the late 19th century. A commercial advertiser seeks to generate increased consumption of his products or services through branding.

Different Types of advertising

There are different types of advertising in off line business and online business.

In-store advertising

In-store advertising is in my opinion one of the cheapest way to advertise a product. You can place within your store a product in a certain way that it is eye-catching to your customer or visitor. Eye-catching means in a visible location as eye-level, or the end of an aisle, in your shopping cart, store video displays, near the check-counter and so on. There are lots of possibilities you can advertise a certain product in your store. But this isn’t only valid in your store the same is valid on your website. You have to see your website as your store, your business. In that way it is easier for you to
convert your site in an attraction for your visitor.

But don’t get too excited with your layout of your site. Don’t make it like a fancy exhibition center where you cannot see the merchandize because of your beautiful colors. -I’m just kidding-.

Covert Advertising

What is covert advertising? I think a lot of people don’t realize when they get bombarded with covert advertising. I mean they get bombarded and they don’t realize that what they see is covert advertising.

Do you remember the movies such as James Bond where you could see the emblem of the car he drove, where they showed you constantly the branch of the car? Another good example is Casino Royal, or Blad Runner. Or you might go back to the western movies where you could see constantly the branch of the cigarettes they were smoking in the movie.

There are lots of examples for covert Advertising in our today’s society. Advertising means to get the product or branch branded in the eyes of the movie-goer or consumer and to sell later on. And it sometimes doesn’t matter about the product itself it only matters to sell. But I think you are an advertiser with some sort of ethic, aren’t you?

Celebrities-Celebrity branding

This is another good or bad way of advertising. Celebrities sell themselves for money, popularity, fame and power to influence people to buy or promote certain products, stores and so on. I would say a negative fact of this advertising is that the celebrities have normally no contact or relationship at all to the product they are advertising. They are only advertising because of their popularity or fame but not because they have tested the product. This can lead to influencing negatively fans and the audience en general. This type of advertising can be bad for the product and or for the celebrity who is advertising the product.

Media and advertising approaches

Not so many years back other Medias as the traditional took over the scene of advertising.

As more and more consumers switch from the traditional Media such as TV, Radio, and Newspaper and so on to the internet, to watch their favorite news, music or videos. The internet also took over like a storm the advertising scene mostly because of the cost of advertising. It is much more economic to place a text-ad, or video ad, or classified ad on the internet than in any other of the traditional advertising media.

The internet has changed the way of advertising tremendously. In general we can say that different types of media can be used to send the message to the people or consumer. There is traditional media such as newspapers, magazines, television, radio, billboards or direct mail that still have a great impact to consumers. But the modern times with daily use of the internet will more and more switch over to online advertising.

The growing numbers of the online advertising industry over the last ten to twenty years has shown us where the money has been spent. The online advertising industry is spending billions and billions of Dollars and growing year after year. Advertising has been and will be doubtful and it doesn’t matter if online or off line. By the way she always used to tell me, that advertising is to convince the consumer (you) to buy a product even if it is not the best one. She was in front of a foodstuff shop in a small village - but she never trusted anything new she always was confident with what she always used.

Through mass media production the consumer is bombarded day in day out with advertising of new products that one doesn’t really know and what to believe of them. First of all you cannot check every products’ effectiveness and usefulness and if it really benefits you in something. Okay, there are lots of people who check out for you…but most of them think differently than you and I. So, it is always something doubtful if the product keeps what it promise.

Many people still remember the times back when everyone was bombarded with the announcement of pleasure and freedom when smoking a cigarette. And today we all know how damaging it is for our health and body. And who knows what they have put in the tobacco that when starting to smoke it is difficult to stop it.

You might also remember what influence this cigarette-commercial had on us children. We just couldn’t wait to be 16 to start smoking or sometimes we tried secretly a cigar or cigarette and turned home almost sick and pale and sometimes with diarrhea. I think some people still remember these old times.

When looking back we know now how bad or influencing this commercial was for us as children. It gave us the image to live in freedom when blowing into the air the white smoke dreaming and planning our future. But most people got lost on the way of their journey to freedom with lung cancer, stomach cancer and what else they call it. This was the kind of life-expectation or kind of freedom as the advertiser made us believe many smokers of us got.

Depending on the advertisement it was, is and will always be a danger if you are not careful in selecting the products you see advertised. We are the ones that have to choose and select, the advertiser doesn’t really care, he cares only about the profit he’ll get.

Online advertising is the new form of promotion that uses the World Wide Web or called Internet to deliver or market messages to attract customers. Online advertising include contextual ads that appear on search engine results pages, banner ads, in text ads, Rich Media Ads, Social network advertising, online classified advertising, advertising networks and e-mail marketing, including the not very good seen e-mail spam. Bulk mailing is not as much anymore a problem for online users. Firstly because of the technology you can use and filter all the e-mails you don’t want or all the e-mails you haven’t asked for.
